Try a Bersa/Firestorm 22 or the phoenix 22. Great inexpensive plinkers. The Phoenix also likes to eat any bulk 22 ammo you can find.

Phoenix in base form with 3 in barrel and without pinky extension. Fits in the pocket best this way.

Default NAA Mini Revolver

I carry a tiny NAA Mini Revolver in 22 magnum. If I need more power in a small package, I carry my .380 caliber P238 by Sig Sauer. Great gun for women, no kick and very accurate.

Walther TPH's are great little guns and once you find the ammo they like are very reliable. That said they are tiny. If you are looking for a pistol to plink with that still fits comfortably in say a backpocket the Walther Clones from FEG are light (aluminum frame steel slide) and available in two sizes Walther PP and PPK sizes. The little ones (SMC) are available in .22 .380 and 9x18. I've got a .22 in my back pocket of my shorts as I type. Definitely likes the HV and Hyper Vel ammo though it does function pretty good with standard vel

I've had the opportunity to own the Baretta 21, a couple of TPH's, a Walther PPK/s, several FEG SMC 22's and took a Taurus clone of a M-21 off of a thug. In addition I've owned the Erma PPK / TPH clones from Erma, Excam, American Arms and Iver Johnson. All are great little pocket pistols. Shoot fairly accurately (Minute of snake head at 10 yards) once you find the right ammo and easy to conceal in a hip pocket. Haven't had a chance to shoot the Bersa or the new Walther PPK/s but I don't see why they won't be quite what you are looking for. Problem with guns like the Sherry or Auto 9 (and I've owned both) is they are at the very minimum envelop size for a 22 and are very picky on what ammo to use

I have a Erma PPK clone, double action shoots good at 15 yrds with Stingers. Just right for the pocket no need for a holster.
