Okay, maybe I haven't had enough sleep. but I was reading my post about relief at the pumps and saw the name of a gas station that just seems to lend itself to lots of jokes. Sheetz.
We got a newer chain that took over an old chain here. The new name is Kum and Go. Let's not let this get nasty, but, what are some dumb store names near you?

The worst I've seen is Piggley Wiggley, been around forever so it must work for 'em.

DICKS
I always chuckle like a ittle kid. Even though I got to meet the founder when I was about 16. It's a sporting good chain store. I have been shopping there sine it was 1 small store. It's now a chain with over 150 locations.

Not a store, but there is a private mail delivery company that is named "Priority Mail Service". They just have their initials on the side of all their trucks.

Very funny thread - I am always attempting to identify dumb names of anything. But where I live we used to have a "Rank Meats" and still have a "Palmer Motel"

The "Party School" hereabouts is S.W. Texas University; the convenience store in the area is "Sack and Pack"
Does this qualify???

There is (or used to be) a drug store in Corvallis, Oregon named for it's two owners. The big sign in front reads
Quote:
Then there was a body shop named for it's owner (this is second hand, so it could be a sea story). Quote:

My boss used to work for a buffing shop, the name of the shop was "Dick's polishing"
When I worked in Shipping we came across a few towns with interesting names, Floyds Knobs, IN, or French Lick, IN. (whats up with IN?)are a couple of good ones. ![]()

The little gun shop in Lampasas is;
THE BORE HOUSE. I've had to call directory assistance a few time and I always get a moment of silence before they ask me to spell it for them. BW |

There's a place in Peabody, MA named "Bunghole Liquors". I've been there and had a receipt from them for a 6-pack of beer, but it was years ago and I don't think I still have it. There is also a liquor store chain called "Kappy's" around Massachusetts as well.

Many years ago, 4th Ave in Pasco was the red light/street walkers area of town. Got so bad some of the stores moved out. When the music store moved, they left their last marquee sign up. For years it said, "Free Organ Lessons!" Absentee owner of the building told city council he would change it when they proved he was guilty of false advertising.
