Some of the most beautiful 1911s and others I have seen in one place. Lots of people bring their guns to the range and offer to let me shoot them quite often. So it is fun to do both but so nice to just browse and drool as well. thanks to everyone who has taken the time to share their babies with us.
her are some of mine just for kicks. Springfield 9MM that I carried before I built the lightweight commander in 9 MM. ![]() ghost ring rear sight I sent slide to Trijicon and they milled the slots for the tritium rear and after doing this slide and the one on my retired 45 LT wt commander, they said they could not do any more due to regulations of some kind. so these are the only two ghost ring rear sights with these tritium slots for night sights. ![]() My current carry I built myself with Caspian slide, Kart barrel and Wilson internals all fitted. Robar, Roguard top and NP3 bottom. Nearly 40,000 rounds through her now and not a single burp even with most of those being my current reloads. ![]() The rear sight I use on all my carry 1911s. I built this on a Chip McCormic base. This is my retired Lt wt commander 45ACP. Nearly 200,000 rounds. third barrel. ![]() This is rare 1911 Colt Gold Cup, National Match, 9MM. It is 174 of 750 ever made. ![]() UF |

Don't think I've posted a pic of my only (at the moment) 1911 in here yet.
Some **** nice guns in here...this little stocker will have a hard time competing with em! Nothing fancy, just a two-tone Springfield that I've added an STI ambi safety and a set of Chip McCormick Rosewood slimmies. Want to add a set of Novak style sights and straight mainspring housing to it eventually. Last edited by Bindernut; 10-07-2010 at 08:59 PM.. |

My 1911 "Style" Para LTC, hardchromed by Tripp and Co. G10 grips and a little "here and there" stuff. A great shooter and carries well.

Something I inherited from my father when he passed away. He had it custom built in the early 1980's. It is a MS Safari frame and a Colt 70 upper half.

My 'backup' hunting gun, a L.A.R. Grizzly in .45 Win Mag. Can't wait to test it out since I just picked it up.

I was looking for the "show me your Glock" thread for jealous 1911 owners to horn in on.
