This is my first handgun and I ended up with What looks to be a 1997 Springfield Custom Standard .45 SUPER. It does not have custom on the slide. All Springfield could tell me is it was custom made but they did not have the spec sheet anymore.

Alright --couldn't help myself. Had to get those Punisher grips. Originally my father's gun and he just recently gave it to me. Shoots well for a 1943 pistol! The Escort is my carry peice. Really enjoy that one--lots of fun to shoot. Very lively.

This isn't the greatest picture. Para LTC and Dan Wesson Pointman 7, both in .45. Just got the DW the other day. She's a shooter !!

I would love to have a 1911 repro, or even an original (won't get my hopes up too high on that last one though.)
Not to be nosy, but how much did some of you all pay for your 1911's? I visited the Gun Show that was in town today, and 1911's were going anywhere from $1049 to $5000. Look-alikes from Charles Daly and Rock Island ranged anywhere from $525 to $850. Which do you recommend? Or are they all the same for the most part? I don't know too awfully much about 1911's, but I hope to soon change that. |

I have a 1911 Kimber Stainless II on order for $850.. Ill post pictures once it comes in, and I go to pick it up at the Gun Shop.
Here is the link to the same pistol on the Kimber website. Retails for $964 http://www.kimberamerica.com/pistols.../stainless_II/ Also purchased these grips to slap on once I get it home: ![]() Last edited by Brandan Gray; 03-05-2009 at 05:09 AM.. |

I'm new to this forum and just browsing around and found this string. I'm a Winchester collector but I do have a couple 1911's in my possesion. Here's 1 of them, a 1915 vintage Springfield N.R.A. pistol.

My Para SSP and hubby's Para Tac-5. Love 'em and wish we could afford to get some more. Mine mostly gets handled to be polished..LOL! It's so pretty I usually just shoot one of my other guns.

Here's my two 1911a1 .45's. The one on top is a Norinco 1911a1 and the bottom one is a Ithaca 1911a1 (1945).
