I have had this thing lately for Philippine made 1911s. I have colts, smiths, taurus, and a couple others, but I already knew how nice the citadels were since I sold one to moody a few yrs back but saw these american clasics and wanted to see what they were all about. I have to say I am impressed with the fit and finish of these guns and I will know a little more later today how it shoots. The citadel is a good shooter. I am guessing this one will be too.

What kind of grips are those if you don't mind me asking?

Good question. I have had them laying around for a long time. I think I got them off of ebay or something a long time ago. Not sure of the wood type.

Just wondering cause I seen em in this guy's reviews of the Springfield Loaded .45 - http://www.gunblast.com/RKCampbell_Springfield.htm - and I thought they looked kinda cool, but he never says who makes the grips.

They're on a stainless model on the right hand side of the page.

Well, here I go again.....I know, I know, you cant shoot but one at a time....well thats what I hear anyhow...oh, and Sam, dont bother looking at this one, you wont like it, its completely stainless and I know you dont like stainless 1911s. Thats ok, some of us still do. Anyhow, I didnt have a sig sauer and my stable still had a stall empty....not really, it has to share a stall but thats ok too. Dont blame me, it popped up one day and I couldnt resist......

Thats real easy todd. I love to sit and clean them at night while watching TV so, no problem there. I know you were kidding anyhow. I dont have any safe queens. This thing has some serious checkering and some rugged grips so its a handful when you grab it. It wont slip out of your hand, thats for certain.

Well, Dr. Noah Zark and I took the sig sauer out this morning and put a few rounds thru it. I have to say, this is my first sig 1911 and I am flat out impressed with the performance and accuracy of this gun. Now, I didnt take it thru the normal paces that I do but I fired about 50 rounds to try it out and it is smooth. Not even a hint of a hiccup with factory mags and I knelt down and shot off of a barrel at 12 yards which isnt far, but, I put 3 rounds on top of each other in the bullseye and two more on top of each other in the bullseye and a total of 6 out of 8 were in the bullseye and the other two were just like less than an inch away. I have come to expect accuracy from my 1911s and this one certainly didnt fail me. I will take it back out to really put it thru its paces at another date but I can tell its going to be an effortless time. Once you shoot 1911s you know what I mean. Its an addiction.

Wow, DD, those are beautiful. You are going to have to add more stalls to the barn if you keep that up.
