A Para Ordnance SX1445S - add ons include Hogue grips and a customized King trigger. The beauty is what you cant see - 2.75 trigger job that's crisp as glass.
Carrying 15 rounds of .45 acp ammo is about the only way you could substantially improve the 1911. ![]() Last edited by orionshooter; 04-30-2007 at 09:02 PM.. |

Thank you, I actually traded that Para LDA in stainless for a Para LDA NiteTac Hicap. Didn't like the short grip on the CCW when shooting it but do like the LDA trigger. The Kimber Procarry has Crimson Trace laser and the Springfield Milspec has several additions to include trigger job and match grade barrel and added two piece guide rod. Also added one piece guide rod on the NiteTac not pictured and they all shoot nice. The Smith Sc up top shoots the best despite more felt recoil with the lightweight frame. The 70series colt is my safe queen I inherited from my father bought back in the early 70's. That was the first and only 1911 I shot until I went into the Marine Corps and carried one as a sidearm while toting an M60.
