It only takes a minute or two and would surely add to the variety of posts on this board.

Yeah Berto you're right. I check in each day but I don't post every day due to time restraints. I've been caught up in auxiliary business since we have elections and other things coming up. I must admit I always think there will always be someone here and lately I realize there are a few "die hard" posters here and without us it's slim pickins on reading.
So consider me chastized and I have slapped myself on the wrist for you and I promise to do better in the future.

Dang Berto, it's about the same way with me as what Bree mentioned---sometimes recently I have stopped to read but I have to sign on every single time with my pass word--small item but very irritating. Still going "balls to the wall" with the Lions donations ---you know making John's Angels and giving them to the Lions for their camp drive for the mentally and physically handicapped---they do a lot of good work and way back in my mind I hope their organization doesn't pay their CEO's or whatever like the Red Cross does theirs--know what I mean??? All is well here in the valley of the sun---more rain than I can recall in the 25 years I been here---the economy is vibrant and the new construction is still top of the nation, I guess. Real estate and home values have just mushroomed---I had a paid for appraisial little over a year ago and last month my neighbor sold his home, just like ours w/o the workshop for 47K more than the year ago appraisal on mine. His home went for 223K---over in Scottsdale comparable home sell for twice that. Just about like California. Take care all you folks---I promise to try and do better on the posting, Honest Injun!!! Hello berto, here I am. It looks like I haven't been here for the last month. I am making sure to leave a post so you will know I was here.

I notice we have one of our AWOL troops back with us once again. Welcome Back Mith! I see you have quite a few stories posted and I am sure they are as interesting as the stories past.

It will be another week before I can help you with guard duty berto but I will be back as soon as possible.

Not a whole bunch to run off at the mouth about, but here's a couple of pics........

Here's a view out the rear end of a CH46 at the mouth of the Cua Viet river, en-route to an LZ west of Khe Sanh.

And here's one of the quad 50's guarding the perimeter at Khe Sanh.

I only saw them at one time up in Hue and they were mounted in the back of a Six By .... It was SWEET!

Your right, Six.

Down south they stuck them on duece n' halfs but the would rattle the beds off them little suckers. They ended up mounting them on five-tons cause they held together better under the vibrations.

Could be Bree........My sweety Ann in Amarillo is 5' 3" and brunette also. I guess the best things arrive in small packages huh girl?

I think we may have a little age on ya tho. I am a half a year older than Ann and I turned 55 in January. See I didn't really tell you her age now did I? But she is proud of her age and is so strikingly beautiful to me that now that I got her, I ain't going to let her go.

And yes you have a few on me-I turned 47 a week ago today.

But I spent 14 years on the carnival circuit so I packed a lot into those 14 years!! I don't blame her...I'm proud of my age too. Hell I grew up in the 70's so I'm amazed I made it this far!
