Could not get Federal Magnum primers to go with out pushing very hard , bought some CCI they fit easy they are one thousands different I am usung GI brass in a 223 with great results untill this has come up, the CCI resolved the problem .

Interesting to note that. I've only used CCI and now Winchester primers in my Lee Progressive press. Lee's instructions warns you to not use Federal primers in their presses. Now I know why.

This can lead to problems. I have never had a problem with Federal primers in GI 5.56mm brass as long as the primer pocket is properly swaged!
