Default Cleaning Medium

I was talking to a guy last week that says he cleans his corncob tumbler medium. I forgot how he said he cleans it. Anybody heard of this? Isn't it easier to just buy new?

Never heard of cleaning corn cob media. The dirt is impregnated into the corn cob and cannot be cleaned. Buy new!

Why bother?
I buy a 10# bag of corn cob pet litter at Wally World Pet dept for less than $3 and add a cap full of mineral spirits or Johnsons Car Wax if you want real shine. When it gets dirty throw it out

That's what I thought. I mean the stuff is cheap enough why go to all the trouble. I was just wondering if you guys had heard about anybody else doing this?

I use rice as a cleaner then sneek it back into the box so's the Boss don't know I used it. "She who must be obeyed" says "don't this taste funny" to which I answer "I don't eat rice honey".
No joke tho, rice works decent as a cleaner and I use cob to polish.

try using Cherrios. the milk really helps the brass polish right up. and the vibrating action brings the 'sinkers' straight to the top so you can catch them easier with your spoon.lol
