I have always longed for an authentic, all matching, Luger. It seems like every year that goes by the prices go up and it becomes more unobtainable.
I keep reminding myself that it probably couldn't shoot as sweet as my S&W or Colt anyway. Any of you have a gun you would just love to get your hands on?

Well mine would have to be this
It would always hit where I want it and drop game in its tracks, never do any damage to the meat or the mount, would not kick more than a redrider bbgun and weigh less, ammo would be the half of the price of 22lr and could never be outlawed. You said dream gun right? Ray |

Once upon a time.....in a galaxy far, far away........
Well anyway, many years ago, when I was a teenager, a couple of buddies and I had occasion to visit a classmate who's father was a gun collector.......and what a collection he had! Numerous and various rifles and shotguns, including several large, heavy British double rifles.....and at the end of the long line of shoulder guns, a small, slender carbine with a spoon-handle bolt. I asked for, and received, permission to handle it. It was light, perfectly balanced, beautifully made, and when I worked the bolt, the action was like a hot knife through butter. It was a Model 1903 Mannlicher-Schoenaur 6.5x54 carbine......and was the only one I've ever seen and handled. I've never actually shot one, but it was the most beautiful and perfect firearm I've ever seen....and I've been in love ever since. Someday......maybe someday....... |

I already have it. A 1911 that hits what you aim at and works flawlessly!

The MS 1903 in 6.5x54 is good enough. Handle in the middle so the bolt don't bind; takedown without tools; accurate enough to kill any thing on earth, with lots of documented elephants, should one look. If somebody's got one, lookin' for a home, call me. Must be a pretty, accurate, full stocked carbine; I'm in LUST!
The only other love/lust mght be an Army and Navy .303 S/S double rifle, also, pretty, and accurate, for which I would trade my firstborn! (Warning---She's a PITA)

I have a couple dream guns...
I'd like a M2HB and a Mk19 like the one I used in Iraq I already have a couple of my dream guns. My M40 (Remington 700) And my M1A Scout The good looking kid on the right is my 11 year old son, and that is his CZ 452 Scout (bought that for his 11th birthday as an upgrade to his Marlin M15Y -- I liked his Scout so much, I bought a 452 for myself two weeks later).

GunFixr has the right idea; a "gunbearer", who shoots!
Both of my daughters shoot, and competively, frequently waxing MY a**. They also ride motorcycles, solo, or pillion, and do THAT as well as I can keep up with! At the risk of Hi-Jacking this thread, who's your favorite gun(er), and why, seems a lot more fun!

Hm, let me see here... how about a:
H&K USP 9mm H&K PSG-1 AKSU-74 'Krinkov' ROMAK-3 MP-446 'Viking' SSG-3000 I've been lucky enough to own two of my dream guns already though, the AK-47 and more recently the AK-74. Sadly, I sold em both awhile back due to various reasons, one of which being simple boredom. Yes, for the record, I am a major gunwhore. ![]() |
