The receiver is blued with lite perimter engraving , unusual is there is no pins or screws on the flats of the receiver , like in all other sxs ?? My basic ? is the age of this gun , Serial #33XX , and a value , its in 85% cond. has and old red rubber pad , not orignal, under the barrels it is marked Demi bloc , has all the proff marks and more than the book shows , Hope to hear some good info, Thanks Paul

Hi Paul......welcome to TFF.
Neither the Blue Book or Standard Catalog of Firearms lists a SxS shotgun in the FN section. The do list an SxS under Browning (most Browning firearms were made by FN). It was a boxlock with automatic ejectors and was made between 1971 and 1988 by B.C. Miroku (Japan). From the Blue Book: "B-SS - 12 or 20 ga.m, 26, 28, or 30 in. barrels, vareious chokes, engraved boxlock action, auto ejectors, checkered pistol grip walnut stock, beavertail forearm, SST. Mfg. 1971-1988 by Miroku. 95% - $475 90% - $400 80% - $365 70% - $330 Last MSR was $775" |
