Default Just so you folks wont get mad at me...

For not telling ya...

Finally after six years of marriage it looks like ol' Crp is gonna be settleing down a bit, seven months from now...

Got one in the oven!

He's gonna be a hunter whether he likes it or not...How does Hunter Wyatt sound for a first and middle name?

Crp-dad

That's wonderful!!! We will expect regular updates on Darla's condition, and lots of pics when the blessed even happens.

Just one question..... what if it's a girl? I guess she will just have to become a hunter whether she likes it or not, huh?

Forgot to mention that I had a classmate in law school named Hunter. She was a very unique person, similar to what Smokey said.

I, too, am a Grandfather six times over and expecting a greatgrand in August. Your life will change forever but the rewards are unimaginable until you travel the trail.

Thank you all very much...But you don't understand, it's not going to be a girl see, because, um well, because I said so dang it! And I'm putting my foot down on the issue!

Hey Berto, I know it took awhile, but I always knew I had it in me!

Ginga, you're right on the money, there was only one name I liked better than Wyatt in the film, but Doc just didn't seem fitting.

Geeze, now that you folks mention it Hunter does make a purdy girl name...*quickly pushes the thought out of his head.*

Honestly... Boy or girl it doesn't matter and long as he/she is healthy.

UPDATE:

Well I guess I jinxed myself, the bambino shall be a lil girl, her name will be Mattison, (Yes, I did a lot of giving in!).

Just thought I'd "check in" and let every one know Darla is doing great at six months along, she's gained eight Lbs which I rib her about every chance I get, and Mattison is doing a little "ribbing" of her own quite constantly.

Stay tuned!

Nothing wrong with having "Daddy's Girl". Mine is 17 and still gets anything she wants.

One more thing, girls are very expensive................just thought you'd like to know.

Congrats on your ongoing project; let me offer a bit of advice.
Both of my daughters are as feminine as anyone could ask, when they choose to be; they are also both intensely competitive, when they choose.
Both of them shoot, well, and competitively, rifle, pistol, shotgun, and both ride motorcycles!
Their mom and I decided, early on, to allow them their 'space' in such (non conventional, by gender) activities, and it is one of very few agreements, between us, that endured (she's now an "ex").
When the elder girl wanted to go with dad and 'bust some birds', I scrambled to find a downsized shotgun, that fit. Well worth the time, and money!
When my younger decided she wanted to shoot a pistol league, with me, on Sundays, I built for her a K-frame Smith, then a 1911, so she could compete, from level ground, with the rest of the group; she excelled!
I never had a son, but these two more than accomodate that omission, in that, they can field both roles, and gracefully, attractively, and consistantly.
Be prayerful that your little one arrives healthy; the rest of the story is already in play; all you have to do is be receptive to the input she gives you, and responsive, when appropriate, and you've got a buddy, forever.
P.S. In spite of what you may have heard, "Father" is neither a religious, or biological term; It is a lifetime project, with far more rewards than requirements, and, again, CONGRATULATIONS!!! Keep us posted.
