Thought maybe we could all use a little "lightin' up"

so,,,,from "A Cowboy's Guide To Life":

Lettin' the cat outta the bag ia a whole lot easier than puttin' it back

Never run from a fight. If you're gonna get hit, it's better to take it in the front than in the back,,and it looks better
(this may have some implications now??)

Never take to sawing on the branch that's supportin' you, unless you're bein' hung from it

After eatin' an entire bull, a mountain lion felt so good he started roaring. He kept it up until a hunter came along and shot him. The moral: when you're full of bull, keep your mouth shut.

Never follow good whiskey with water, unless you're out of good whiskey

If you think you're a person of some influence, try orderin' somebody else's dog around

Remain independant of any source of income that will deprive you of your personal liberties (one of my favorites,, by necessity)

Never drop your gun to hug a grizzly

There's two theories to arguin' with a woman,,Neither one works

No tree is too big for a short dog to lift his leg on

Don't get mad at somebody who knows more'n you do. It ain't their fault

You can never step in the same river twice

There's no use for a man who owns a dog to do the barkin' himself

A Texas breakfast is a 2 pound steak, a quart of whiskey, and a hound dog. Why the dog? Somebody has to eat the steak

You can't weigh the facts if you've got the scales loaded down with your opinions

Going faster when you're lost won't help a bit

It's always a bit confusin' when somethin' goes right

When your head's in the bear's mouth is not the time to be smackin' him on the nose and callin' him names (advice for Osama?)

If horses and dogs ain't in heaven, I'd just as soon go to Texas

Never take another man's bet. He wouldn't offer it if he didn't know somethin' you don't

Never miss a good chance to shut up. (and on that note I will)
