I'm pretty sure I already know the answer to this, but would appreciate some clarifcation from those of you who know the rules better. I'm looking to start entering local IDPA matches and while I've got other rigs that I know are legal, I'd really like to use my Yaqui Slide for competition, seeing as I do use it for personal wear sometimes when out and about. Is it a legal rig for IDPA?
Also on a side question, if I'm only competing in local matches do I have to run a classifier course or do I just fork up my $17 entry fee and start running? --edit by ducky: nevermind this one.. I just got to that page. Thanks for your help!

With all the rule changes and holster manufactuers changing designs, there is no approved holster list at present. Your slide may be fine but the final decission will be up to the RO at the match.
To be on the safe side, take along a backup holster. Keep us posted and good luck |
