Anything less needs a special license or its illegal. I cut the 20 gauge down to 18.5 inches, what most people/manufacturers also do. Extra 1/2 an inch is a 'just-in-case' Also has to be 26 inches or longer overall length. The 20 gauge is now 27 inches overall. That front grip really does help with kick though and makes it extremely point-and-shoot friendly. |

Here is somthing to consider if the person using the weapon is a smaller framed person or a woman that isn't fond of the 12 & 20's loud report and recoil. try introducing them to the smaller and lighter weapons like the Snakecharmer or the Mongoose style shotgun. When used with 00 buck it makes a great home defense weapon for there size and weight and at close range should do the job well.

I got my inherited H&R Topper for home defense till I can go pick up my Marlin in 7 days. (stupid CA wait period) I'm ready, bring it bad guys. I have enough ammo next to it hold off an army.

EVO Thank You for the great pic. When my ship comes in that is the weapon of choice for me.
Is that a 12 gauge and what size chamber? Last edited by Rhuga; 03-02-2012 at 03:10 PM.. |

I show You my last upgrade: it's the side shotshell carrier from Mesatatctical. Very well made, because it's light (probably made of ergal) and strong, and shells can go in and out very easily and quickly.

Geezer, nice homemade rack for the mattress to be ready in the middle of the night.

Gun Geezer, if I were president of the United States, every house hold would get a tax write off for one firearm purchase a year. But after seeing that neat little bed rig, I would surely give you a write off for that too. Saweeeet!!!

I use a stock remington 1100 skeet gun. No extended mags No pistol grip and No black paint. If I use it and have to go to trial I dont want some "evil assult weapon" shown to the jury I want the same shotgun that all their dad and granddads had in the closet. IE a hunting gun not assault weapon. modified assault guns are fine but I dont want to have my fate rest on the looks of the weapon Randy

Not to bad if you only shoot a few.
