Ive got a colt commander (9mm) thats got me stumped. It has a blued slide, and what looks like a brushed stainless frame (i know its not stainless, its an alloy frame) .S/N is 503XX-LW and it has a Wilson Combat non-adjustable rear sight, it does NOT have the normal commander hammer, instead the standard 1911-A1 type. i was told this is a colt custom, but cant find any info on it.I was also told at the time of purchase that it is all original. Markings on the gun are few; "s" on front left side of trigger guard, delta mark just to the left of mag release, and on the slide, " Colt's PT.F.A. Co. Hartford Conn. usa, and COLT COMMANDER. At $200.00 it was a deal, but i would like to know more about it. Any thoughts?
