Seems like there is a loop hole in the California Assault Weapons Ban. There is one lower receiver still available that is not on the ban list. The CA DOJ apparently recognizes it but it will apparently take a law change to get it banned. See your CA dealer. The risk is that it will eventually be put on the list and if you bought one recently it may be grandfathered (probably have to register it like the earlier grandfathered assualt weapons). Or they may confiscate it but since it is only the lower you are buying, you wil only have to give up the bare lower receiver, I would think. I don't have the manufacturers name at hand but if you contact me directly I can get it for you. This is not a rumor. A close relation of mine is buying one now.

Just curious, is this reciever with the non-removable magazine?
And as always... Pictures man! Crpdeth

Crpdeth:
No! That is the FAB-10 (I have one of those on my CA legal AR-15). This is a regular lower receiver, with removable magazine, for less than half the price of the FAB-10. It is locally made in CA. The FAB-10 is legal because it is not an assualt weapon as defined by the law (no removalble magazine). I like mine and only shoot off the bench where having to break open the gun for a 10 catridge reload is no problem. Recently other manufacturers have started to get around the Assault Weapons Ban by introducing non-removeable magazine semi-autos that look like the banned ones but are not. LDBennett |
