Hoser, go to the main forum page and scroll down towards the bottom until you see the TFF Member Test Forum. In that forum is a sticky that gives detailed instructions on how to post pictures.

Isn't Texarkana considered part of the ArkLaTex? Along with Shreveport and Marshall and that general area.

Going down one of the larger main streets in Texarkana there is a spot where Texas is on one side and Arkansas on the other!!!!

And when I was growing up, Marlin, you could tell which side of the street was which:
Texas side was in a dry county. Arkansas side was wet. The Arkansas side was lined up with liquor stores and bars. |

Well, there goes a tradition! [grin]
Of course, I'm talkin' over twenty years ago. The family lived in Houston, but the grandparents livedin Kentucky and Tennessee. We'd head up through Texas to Texarkana (us kids just HAD to spend one last night in Texas!) and stay in a Holiday Inn on the Texas side of the street, then head up the next day to Nashville to pick up my Dad's mother. Of course, we'd come back the same way, spending the night in the same Holiday Inn on the way back! |
