An old Colt Combat Commander or a Kimber Compact. Both in .45 ACP.

This is the 2nd g-36 I have had, gave the first to my son for his b-day several years ago. Fired the first one a bunch with no problems. Haven't rored the new one at all. Will hit the range after the holidays.

Para P16/40 (converted to a 10mm)...
At times, a SA Professional in .45ACP... Rarely, a XD .45ACP Tactical or an H&K USP Tactical during LEO training... Back-up either a Kahr K40 or H&K P7 always... Dead |

You asked "What's your daily packin' iron?"
I see a lot of nice 1911's and revolvers all in nice leather with extra mags also in leather. In my opinion there a 2 modes of CCW, 1) offensive 2) defensive. All of the holster & extra mags are offensive (use is very possible) setups. A Colt Mustang or Keltec 3AT in a back pocket holster is a defensive (used to get away) setups. You first must decide how much firepower you can reasonably concile. |

Walther P99 in 9x19 loaded with 124gr HydraShoks. It goes with me everywhere legally allowed
![]() Most 1911 designs seem a tad bit too heavy for me, although they do seem to fit my hands really well. I have small hands, so it's amazing that the large 1911s fit me at all.

I generally always carry when I'm out on the farm. Keep her in a backpack when I travel. Even though I prefer the shootability of my 1911's, the gun that stays with me is my SA XD 40cal. in Galco belt holster.
