Default Need help on finding the maker of this .455 revolver....

Similar to a Webley but not that make. It was found in Pakistan and in the same family since new. Would great appreciate help in finding out who made it.

All I can tell is that it is a Pryse latch design. Those were made by Webley, other makers in England, and in Belgium by August Francotte & Co. and others. They were also made in the Pakistan area (the famous Darra pass region) but that one looks far too well made to be a local product.

Thanks , Jim, I thought it might be Belgium and less likely French.

I saw this gun featured in a movie from a book by Clive Cussler. Sahara, great movie and great feature about your gun
I assume it is priceless.
He called it a 45.5 just before he killed one of the good guys with it!

I think your revolver was made to shoot the .450 cartridge. Although the .455 will fit I suspect the revolver was made prior to the adoption of this round in 1889.
