An RG has never been in good condition unless it's used as a paper weight

$50 would be way over it's actual value

Last one I bought cost me $10, and I only use it as an example of what not to buy!

Cool Re: 22 CAL RG Pistol

WOW, I made a great investment in 1984 when I picked it up for $35.00. Thats a neat profit of $15.00 in 22 years-tax free too. Back in the tackle box it goes for another 22 years. Thanks for the info. I could never find out anything on it until today on this board. Thanks again

Tacklebox is a great place for it.
Just add a few hooks and some bait on it and you in business

You should know that it's made mostly of pot metal except for a thin steel barrel liner.

the vast majority of RG / ROHM handguns are pure garbage...

the small / pocket / snubbie / suicide special / small caliber variants are poorly made, non-steel paperwieghts...

but there are well made, reliable, steel variants that are worth owning and can be purchased cheaply...

the RG-38 series are all steel, and well built.
they weigh a ton, are overbuilt, and are not pretty...
they are servicable, safe, affordable handguns.

the SAA .22 revolvers (COLT SAA clones) are decent plinkers...
not top notch, but safe and well made.

i picked up an RG-38 for my Dad...

its heavy, its not pretty...
but it shoots decent point of aim groups at 12 yds...

best regards, mike.
