Default Marlin question

Does any one own a Marlin 900 series? how do you like it? how does it shoot? what caliber is it?
I am thinking of getting a Marlin 981T and would like to know how well you like yours before I spend my wifes money
(I am going to say it is hers)

any of the 81 series is good. they are basically unchanged for the past 70 years. Now the new ones have synth stocks, but that is about it, really. they are more accurate than youwill be prepared for, they shoot s,l,.lr's, they will hold 25 shorts in the tube. with cb shorts or cb longs or colibris, you can shoot them in your back yard. That long bbl really helps quite them down.
Best of all, they are 150 dollars every day at Academy here in houston.
