Eddystone U.S. Enfield Part II Test Results *PICTURE FIXED*
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Well,

I took my 17 to the range today and fired it from 100yds
using only the military sights as this one is a non-import
beauty stock military that I got from a good friend/WWII
Vet 10-years ago.

I shot at my clubs 100yd range off handed and from the
bench, at first I used the battle sight peep and it shot
a bit too high at 100yds, I then flipped up the metered
sight and I was extremely pleased with the results considering
I was using open sights and no gun vise, just me arms!

I don't have a digital camera yet but my 17 looks almost
identical to the one in the other 17 topic thread except
mine is parkerized, and the wood is beautiful too.

I'm glad I held onto this rifle all these years because it is
a damn good shooter.

I kept the target and scanned it into my scanner, here is
the picture of my results below. The target size is 14X14 inches square.

These '17's are fun rifles aren't they?
Mine is so much more fun to shoot than the '03A3, with much less felt recoil and it seems to be at least, if not more accurate.

Yours sounds like a beauty. Congrats!

I think the picture is showing now, the target itself is 14X14
however, the area of shot placement is within an 8X10 area.

I can't see the picture. When I try putting the address manually in the browser I get this message:

Bravenet Member,

In order to limit bandwidth costs, we have restricted remote loading of images. I hope this helps, but as I see it you need a new photo host.

Thanks GGB, I thought I'd give them a try but it
looks like they suck!

I have MSN but they upgraded and it won't upload
for me.

Soon I will have hosting here at TFF anyway, and
most likely a browse box for the members to post
pictures easily!
