My Springfield Trapdoor, 1884 build in 1890. By 1890 a lot of these where built with parts from other years of production. This one is in such good shape it must have been one of the civilian sales, maybe even Sears who sold them for $2.75 in their adds.

I appreciate the offers of a new home for my trapdoor, but alas, I must decline. I don't collect Trapdoors, as such, but I couldn't resist this one.
