I had one when I was a kid. My dad made me carry my rifle all day with no bullets in it, after chewing me out. There were some other kids hunting with us and I was just a wee bit embarrassed.

Only while using Federal primers. Closed the bolt and Bam !
Never used them again.

seen a couple at IPSC matches.
the club I attended did the sensible / cautious thing - send'em packing for the day.

I have seen a few at IDPA matches. From "unloaded and cleared guns being fired into the berm prior to holstering and modified guns with ultra light trigger pulls. Also a few from folks that were using unfamiliar guns.
