Default Treso/Ampco nipples?

Are the Treso/Ampco nipples better than the Thunder Ridge nipples? Does anyone have experience with both kinds? Thanks.

Default Re: Treso/Ampco nipples?

I have not found a nipple with which I was dissatisfied. /some say they deliver more spark to the powder, some say hotter, some say harder metal to prevent peening the nipple, some say softer to prevent hammer battering. If the load makes a loud noise and a hole appears in the target at which I'm looking, the nipple did its job. As I replace nipples every 1K rounds as a matter of course, I probably don't give them a test that is stringent enough to properly form an opinion.
