Would like to hear opinions on the .38 Super as a self defense round.

The Super will work well for defense. It's hotter than a 9mm.

Any thoughts on overpenetration?
I've always wanted a .38 Super just for fun...I dont know about personal defense, but personal satisfaction would be excuse enough. Crpdeth

Maybe the question should had been, why the Super has not gained much popularity? I know it is more than apt as a self defense round .

I've always loved the 9X23. It's hot and yet easy to handle on a 1911 frame and if memory serves, it is more better than the 38sup.
