Default Grafiti on a rock

There is a huge rock near a gravel pit on Hwy.25 in rural Iowa For generations, kids have painted slogans, names, and obscenities on this rock, changing its character many times. A few months back, the rock received its latest paint job, and since then it has been left completely undisturbed. It's quite an impressive sight. Be sure to scroll down and check out the multiple photos (all angles) of the rock. It appears the flag was draped over the rock, but it's not. It's actually painted on the rock too.

Marlin T, Ray Sorenson deserves a tremendous amount of credit for his work with that rock for sure! I just wish more artists were interested in painting something truly worthwhile and positive like that, than the stuff we so often see in so-called "art galleries" today.

Let’s hope it never fades.
Figuratively as well as literally.

Great work of American Patriotic art. Thank you for posting and sharing.

I wish more shared this sentiment. Too many want to forget.

Snopes has a nice write-up about the rock. Sorensen repaints it every year, recognizing a different era of American veterans each time.
