Default Post-War Walther PPK (22 cal)

I have an opportunity to buy a Walther PPK pistol and would like some advice as to value. It is difficult to zero in on the value from the Blue Book.

Info on pistol:
Walther PPK, .22 cal
Gun near 100%, in original brown Walther box with manual in German.
Beautiful deep blue finish with brown plastic grips and both original magazines, one flat and one with brown platic fingertip extension. Left side of slide marked with Ulm/DO. No imporation marks.

Markings include New Eagle over N proof on right side of triggerguard, left side of frame and on barrel visible in ejection port. There is an elk antler prrof on the barrel as well, preceded by the number 66. Thanks in advance for any help with this valuation. Grandpabo

Your PPK was made in 1966, and is very much in demand. Prices have shot up in the past few years, especially if in .22 caliber, in near new condition and in the original box. Since I collect them, I am very much up on the prices. About five years ago you could buy one for about $700, but today they cost at least $1250 and can go as high as $1500.

Just out of curiosity, what would a consecutive serial numbered pair of 1966 PPK 22lr, factory fired only, with correct serial numbered boxes, targets, etc be worth??? I do have a pair, that's why I'm asking-and I've been considering offering them for sale.

Thanks

That's a tough one to answer. I would think $3000 would be a fair price, but I've had no experience with such an offering.

Thanks for the reply, sir. I had in mind somewhere between $2500 and $3500, and you just confirmed that maybe I'm in the ball park. Sure are pretty tho. Kinda hate to sell 'em...

Wow, i also have a ppk in 22LR. if i've known it's current value, i wouldn't have put a thread on the barrel for the silencer

Anyway, it's still my fave plinker...i'll just prolly pass it to my son once he's responsible enough to own one
