My wife and I went out Saturday to shoot some deer (with the camera). When I got home I had two of those nasty critters on me, I hate ticks. If they are out this early, looks like Missouri is going to be loaded with them this year.

I pulled 11 off the dog 2 weeks ago, after letting her run around the range. She has short white hair, so it was easy to see them moving on her. Still kinda creepy, tho.

Sorry to hear that, Glock. Don't believe all the doctor hype. They really don't cause permanent and incurable E.D., except of course in males who work with stonemasonry.

Draw you a hot bath and put a cup of clorox in it. Kills all the ones you didn't see and helps on the itch.

BHL, ticks remind me of lawyers. Nasty bloodsuckers.

Let me have your address and I'll send you all the ticks I get off of me and my dogs.

Pistolenschutze, your right it doesn’t cause incurable E.D. I know for a fact that they do cause male pattern baldness from experience.

Don't know if it works on dogs or not. We always just dipped them in cresote or actual flea dip. When I was growing up I think mom would have done the same but didn't think she could hold us in the cresote dip

I have actually had so many I bathed in flea and tick shampoo. Be sure to watch for a circle developing around the bite site that resembles a bullseye, fever at the bite site and swelling that continues to grow. Should you begin to feel like you have the flu see a doctor.

Ticks are nothing but tiny liberals, they are parasitical bloodsucking clingy insects and always in your hair

Bleach will do the trick, i normally use it straight out of the container, maybe diluted with just a ounce or two of water.

I wouldn't, the dog may want to lick some of it off and it'll make it sicker than... well, a dog.

I would not use straight bleach on skin. Its toxic. Plus it can bleach the skin. (Ala Micheal Jackson)
