Default barrel question

If I was to put a 7 inch barrel on a 5 in frame and slide would it be any different than having a long slide? I think that if I was to do that it would look pretty sweet

To answer your question, No. The barrel would not be supported on the muzzel end. If you are very good at fitting a barrel bushing, go for it. If not leave it alone as the accuracy will go out the window.

So a tighter barrel bushing will help the accuracy? How snug? I'm no gunsmith, but I know a lot of them...Thanks

On my 1911's you need a bushing wrench to get the bushing to turn. You cannot do it with your fingers.
