Default Ruger Single Six .17HMR Question

A few weeks ago I purchased a new Single Six in 17HMR. Boy, is it a fun!

The Single Six for .22 comes with 2 cylinders, one for LR and the other for WMRs. Does anyone know if Ruger plans to make another cylinder available for the .17 Mach 2? Seems like this would be a logical addition.

Thanks,

Terry

tleach; sir; I don't have an answer to your question. I am interested in your experiences with the .17. I am looking for one; feel like I'll have something to enjoy on long walk abouts.
follow up when you can with your experiences.

Congrats!...I've not looked at any Rugers in .17, but have looked at a Taurus with a VR 12" barrel...I have a Savage in .17 and will jump on a revolver sometime...I like the .17...

They did catalog a .17 hunter which had two cylinders. Only a very few were shipped before production stopped. I believe the issues had to do with the cases of the .17M2 splitting and I believe there were extraction issues also if I'm not mistaken. the bottleneck cases have had similar issues in previously made makes/models. I doubt you'll see it reintroduced with the .17M2 hype slowly dwindling as is it's interest.
