I am the "C" in DCD, and my husband is the "D". I just want to say that I am very proud of this man. He holds dear to his heart all of the virtues that have made this country what it is, so that we can be proud enough to want to call our selves AMERICANS. I am quite sure that there are many out there who find his beliefs hard and unbending, too conservative, and even perhaps offensive to the liberal left. Well, I'm sorry for you, and your looser mentality. If our great country ever sees war on her soil again, you had better bet I will be out there with MY gun, right beside my husband, ready to defend till my dying breath. DCD, your pictures show what is so very, very typical of American troops wherever they serve, from the World Wars, to the Berlin Air Lift, to Korea, Vietnam, and now Iraq. Their compassion and humanity are so seldom hailed by the media, but that does not make those qualities any less a part of their very fabric.

Of all the goofy and annoying "Forwards" I get each day in my email, this one I would have ENJOYED getting.

How can we forward this whole THREAD to friends?

This is something so powerful that it NEEDS to FLY around the entire internet, and not just keep it to ourselves...

Thank you. Too many woman today only see guns as a problem, and look down on anyone who owns one for anything other than personal protection. As a young girl I went duck hunting, squirrel hunting, rabbit hunting, and at age 9, with my dad's help, I ran a trap line. I was the first one between us to catch a mink. I love to run my fingers thru the thick fur of a red fox.
I am the mother of three young boys (6 & twins-2 yrs.) and I do worry about the gun violence that is out there, but I am smart enough to know that it is not the guns that are the problem, but the lack or moral integrity of some of those who are using the guns. It is hard to tell right from wrong when you are so high on some drug that you think you can fly!
Parents need to also teach their children about guns and gun safety. If you hide the guns and ammo from the kids, all it is, is a fascination to them, just like those Christmas presents hidden in the closet.
I also get so tired of those who think that we should just hand our guns over to the federal government, "because only the military can use guns.". They need to learn to read better, I guess. The constitution is so clear and easy to read, but all of the liberals try to twist it around to suit themselves, that they make it sound cryptic, like some great mystery that only they can understand. Get real people!!!!!!! Stupidity is not contagious!!! WE THE PEOPLE ARE THE MILITIA!!!! The second amendment was written by our fore father's to protect the people from a tyrannical government, which I think is what we have now. They ( congress and the senate) stay in their nicely padded seats for years, giving them selves all of the things that they make illegal for the people. I believe it is time for the people to stand up and say that enough is enough! If they are going to talk the talk, then by God, walk the walk!
Sorry if I seem to just ramble on, but I just get so hot under the collar over all of the injustices that we have forced down our throats, and then are told that WE have to be politically correct! I'd like to make those fat cats eat their fat hats.
