Advantage: It's used in Glocks and HK's (Sorry couldn't resist)

Disadvantage: Fouls really quickly with lead bullets for some reason. (I'm sure someone knows why, but I don't)

It's a fad just for the young and inexperienced, kinda like plastic guns...You know?

Like the saying "New and Improved..." it usually ISN'T, but some impressionable people will waste money on them...

I prefer "Old and Proven..."

They will give a little better performance if you use jacketed bullets because they have a better sealing from the bullet to the bore. Some of the best rifles are using them. Carl Walthers makes them and if you want you can go to their web site to learn more.
