I inherited a few guns among which is a Stevens Model 940D single shot 410 gauge break open breach shotgun. The markings on the barrel are:
Selected Forged Steel Proof Tested .410 Gauge 3 Inch Chamber On one side of the gun: Stevens model 940D Savage Arms Westfield, Mass. USA On the other side is an engraving of a dog on point Any idea of the value? I haven't been able to find anything on the internet.

Stevens made a large number of models of single shot, utility-grade shotguns, all of similar value.
The Standard Catalog of Firearms says: Exc. - $150 V.G. - $100 Good - $75 Fair - $50 |
