Looks like it would be a Mossberg 640.http://www.e-gunparts.com/crossref.asp Look for the store brand and model on the left and the man. and model is on the right.

Thanks for the info Dan70. But the Westernfield info, caliber and Made in USA are on the centerline on the top of the barrel. No "manufactored by" anywhere.
I really think your correct in saying it's a Mossberg. The cheap trigger housing is a dead giveaway. But it does have a very nice trigger pull...no creep and crisp letoff. tonygrz |

X-ref in back of BlueBook sez WF822 is a Mossberg 640K.
Typically, store branded guns did not carry manufacturer name.

Mossberg was a prolific manufacturer of trade-name guns, so if williamd's Blue Book cross reference says Mossberg, that would seem logical. Look for a photo of a Mossberg 640K and see if it matches.
By the way, according to my reference books, Western Field was a trade name for Montgomery Ward and Co, Chicago.

Monkey Wards store brand in the 50's and 60's.
I have a 12 g. pump WF that was made by Browning.

Thanks for all the great info. I mounted an old weaver k-4 on it and zeroed it in. Gave me thumbnail size groups at 50 yards - good enough for close coyotes. Very pleased with the trigger. No creep and crisp let off.

Like the others are saying, it's probably a Mossberg. Use Gun Parts Corp cross reference charts to identify the Manufacturer/Model. If you need parts and Gun Parts Corp doesn't have them, then use Havlin Sales. Havlin sales specializes in Mossberg parts ONLY!. I've found they have parts that GPC doesn't carry. Links below:
