Doing my rifle cert classes these days, will be an NRA certified rifle instructor when the dust settles. I have a Rem 513 bolt action, which is a real honey, but a bit hefty for kids (we do a scout day thing), smaller women, and older folks.
Looking for suggestions for new or older quality bolt action .22 rifles. Can't spend a million bucks, but I'm not looking for a cheap piece of crap. thanks, -Armen

For a bolt action single shot the Cricket is a good gun.
For a bolt action repeater their are quite a few decent and affordable guns out their. Here are a few to think about Savage makes quite a few 22's. Some of which have the accu-trigger, Which can be adjusted from a 6 pound pull for beginners to a 1.5 pound pull for the more experienced. Marlin makes 22's that are very affordable. Mossberg still makes a bolt action repeater. Rugers make 22's with excellent finishes, and beautiful wood but they are higher in price than most. CZ makes 22's at decent prices. Henry makes 22 bolt guns.

I've been an instructor for many years, and have found these discounts to be substantial............. Welcome to the fun.
