Default saw Rudy Giuliani today

Rudy Giuliani came to Beantown coffee today in Hampstead, NH. I went to see him and he talked about his 12 goals and we also were able to ask him questions. My number one choice would have to be Duncan Hunter, followed by Thompson and for third a tie between Giuliani/Romny. Realisitically, Hunter and Thompson probably wont win, so I would have to go ahead and Vote for Giuliani. Whats your opinion on him? how do you think he'll do in regards for us gun-totin loonies?

I understand New York has very restrictive gun laws and the City has even more gun laws. I am not sure you can even permit or carry in N.Y.C. Does anyone know for sure? I think the NRA rates Guilani very badly too.I don't have a better answer yet but I would question Rudy's 3 or is it 4 divorces as to his judgement and character.

No, I don't think we can either, Ron. Rudy Giuliani is, at best, left of center, and he would sign any anti-gun package the Congress sent him.

Don't vote for Giuliani in the primary, and you won't have to vote for him in the general. As I've stated before, the primaries are for picking the person you want to see in the general. If everybody thinks "Duncan Hunter and/or Fred Thompson won't win the primary, so I might as well vote for Giuliani", then Giuliani will win the primaries and we'll all have to hold our noses and vote for him to avoid an even bigger liberal winning the general.

Make sure all your right-minded friends get the message.

As for what I'd ask Rudy if I met him...

Ron Paul 08!!!! He's very constitutional. The way he votes on items is strictly based on what's already Constitutional Law, so I think that since the 2nd Amendment is already in place we should be much good to go on that issue...

I'm going with Huckabee at his point. I've seen him on the Outdoor Channel and I visited his and Paul's websites. I get a better feeiling with Huck'.

well then looks like im going to have to re-think my selection!! what I am trying to say though is that I think he, or maby Romny, is the only one that could beat Hillary. I would much rather Giuliani than another round of Clinton. I think the candidates like Huckabee, Hunter, Thompson, etc. are too normal for the lefties, so they wouldn't have much of a chance up againtsed Hillary. Edwards, yes, but Hillary or maby Obama, no.
thanks for all your response,
Luke

I think anyone less than someone normal is too much of a compromise and there is no compromise on the 2nd. I felt Gore was almost a shoe-in, too, and look what happened. Gun owners had to be a large part of it.

Things REALLY ARE different in the North East, aren't they?

The popular opinion around the rest of the country, as far as I can tell, is that Mickey Mouse could beat Hillary, but I guess she's done a good job in the NE of convincing the union types that the only choice for a job is with one of the Demoncrats...

I understand and appreciate your regional differences, however they do astound me...

haha i guess so pony-cart. Around here in southern NH and nothern mass, it seems that theres about 60 to 65% democrats, mostly supporting Hillary, and the rest Republicans and indi's split mainly between Guliani and McCain. I wish it was more like the rest of the country around here!!
NH use to be pretty conservative but over the last 10-15 yrs, its became more and more liberal, because all the Mass people messed up there state so now they have high taxes, strict gun control, etc. so they all move to NH, and instead of learning that what they did before in Mass didnt work out, they still vote EXACTLY THE SAME. Some people truly are stupid! Now theirs a democratic majority in the NH house, so its starting to go down hill. I hope it changes soon, but its not looking so great

No offense taken...

I just find it sooooo hard to believe that Democrats have such a hold on the Union states.

I know it's not a popular topic, but the Unions really have people fooled as to what it takes to keep a job, and the Democrats are capitalizing on that mentality. If not for the Labor Unions, the Democrat party would be ENTIRELY different, and there would be no modern liberal as we have today. Let's face it, not even the Democrat voters typically agree with all the BS the front-runner Dems believe. It's someone else TELLING them who to vote for...

Let's take a look at something...

A map of Right to Work States vs. Non-Right to Work States. For those not aware of this, Right to Work discourages Unions from forming because true employment CONTRACTS don't necessarily exist. There are Labor Unions in Some Right to Work states, but it's not the rule...

Now, 2004 Presidential results...

Interesting, huh?... Not to get TOO far off subject... Well, maybe...

Labor Unions have as much control over the lower middle-class vote in the Union states as the NAACP has over their constituents nationwide... That's some scary stuff...

That map through the years is awesome. I'm saving that one! Thanks DCD!

I'm aware of the one from the last presidential election by county. What it shows is that metropolitan areas vote Democrat, and there's a larger population density in those locations... Depressing... It kind of goes along with this article...

DCD, that is awsome!!!! You get the gold star for the day.

Along with sad to boot. Just think, 10% of CA controlls the rest. Same with OR but with a smaller number.
