Default iver johnson 16 ga shotgun

I recently acquired a Iver Johnson 16 ga Champion shotgun, sn 65126. I would like to know the date of manufacturer and what it's worth.

Default Re: iver johnson 16 ga shotgun

i wish i knew as much about the iver johnson champion single barrel shotguns as i do about the iver johnson handguns but there are no known factory serial number records available. there were several different version of the champion the earliest ones were manufactured in 1880 and the last in the 1970's. the model most often encountered today was introduced in 1909. on this model i have found those without any letter codes in the serial number were manufactured before the 1920's. with out seeing it that is the best i can do.
