Default S&W model 28, less expensive model 27

" The only other n-frame revolver in 357 Magum was the model 28 Highway Patrolman. This revolver was introduced in 1954 at the request of the Texas Highway Patrol for a less expensive 357 Magnum revolver" Classic Handguns by David W. Arnold. " . "The Highway Patrolman is virually identical to the model 27 in terms of size and internal mechanisn. It has a fully adjustable rear sight but lacks the supurb highly polished blue finish, target hammer and trigger of the Magnum".

I own a bunch of Model 28s. I think they are the best revolver ever made for the .357 round. You can forget those overpriced snake guns. Boys, get a Model 28.
