Howdy all...
Went down to get some 223 for the ole mini and made the
mistake of looking in the guncases.Down on the second shelf
and a little in the corner was a gun that had caught the
reflection of the store's overhead lamp.Sure nuff,caught my
eye.Asked the clerk what it was,he says that it's a Kimber
SuperMatch II.I asked if I might see it.He says"You Sure?"
I say yeah,I'm just buying some ammo, nothing else.He pulled
it out,cked action for a unloaded state and I made the mis-
take of touching it.I love my Gov.I got a lot of dough in my
Gov.I DON'T NEED another gun!The price is 1,219.00 plus
DROS and now Cal's DOJ Gunlock.My ? is;is this too high ?
I'm hoping someone will say YES,way too high.But if this is
about right,like a fish and Velveta Cheese,I'm hooked.Some
one please let me NO,thanks bg.

I'm no expert, but if you check gunsamerica.com for a price check, they have two for sale: $1542, $1675. Bear in mind that's "asking price". YMMV. I haven't looked at Kimbers lately, didn't realize they were that high.

Then again, if you have to ask the price, go ahead and buy it!

Yes sir the gun is brand new and sitting at Turner's outdoors
man store in San Berdoo,for NOW.{you guys are suppose to
talk me out of this,not help gettin it}alas I'm afered I'm HAD!
I can't afford this,taxes coming up,truck needs a tune-up,
house needs paint,....Kimber is calling.....

Just bought Tennessee Boomerang's Supermatch for almost that exact price. This particular gun had about 400 rounds through it (75 to 100 being mine before I bought it). I personally thought that it was a more than a fair price.
They run about $1650-$1700 nib on GB and Gunsamerica.
My Blue Book of Gun Values 21st Ed. (2000) has the
following-NIB/$1848, 100%/1525, 98%/1125.
I didn't check to see if Antique Doc had posted on this thread,
but he's a Kimber Master Dealer and he would be able to give you a more accurate figure.

The store is called Turner's Outdoorsman in San Bernardino Ca.
hr's m-f 10.00a-9.00&s 10.00a-6.00p.I don't know if its still there.They also had the new Eclipse there also.Ph#909-388-1090,ask for gun-dept.

Turner's is a small chain of stores scattered across SoCal - good stores, decent prices, decent staff (generally speaking).

I've bought pieces from them several times in the last 15yrs.

They also stock a wealth of fishing / hunting supplies.

BG.....................Everone has told you that this is a good deal, but I can't see a kimber being a better investment than a colt. That seems very high for a kimber. That gun must be tricked out to the max for it to bring that very high price.
