Member Posts: 6 (10/2/02 5:59:56 pm) Reply Magazines won't eject -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I have several G.I. 1911 mags. I noticed that some of them do not pop out, when you press the mag release button. What is the most likely thing causing this. Could it be that some of them have fattened out, over the years? Thanks shooter45 us *TFF Chief Of Staff* Posts: 1849 (10/2/02 6:48:44 pm) Reply Re: Magazines won't eject -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I would think they have swelled . I have had some mags like that. Run a dial caliper over the bad one then do the same on a good one. These can sometimes be gently squeezed in a vice but be careful, you only get one try. anchored V.I.P. It doesn't take much to be sticky. Do they slide in easily? I had a couple that didn't pop out nicely, and after a good poliching with an emery cloth, they worked quite well. As cheap as they are, chunk them and get some more. 45 mags are a dime a dozen (almost) LTS ps/ could also be the mag spring too, as in being weak. Remember, the shell is pressed up to the bottom of the slide and the spring pressure helps pop it out.
