Default Help for an Aussie

Hey Guys,

I have recently been given a Anschutz Model Match 54 minus the rear iron sights and bolt assembly (see details below).

On the barrel the following is stamped:-
Anschutz-Model Match 54

Cal. .22 long rifle

On the barrel near the receiver the following is stamped:-

H1 or HI and a vertical eagle

On the receiver the following is stamped:-

(vertical eagle symbol) 153290X J.G. Anschutz GmbH Ulm/D. West-Germany

I have tried the Aussie importers but either they have never heard of this particular model or are not interested in sourcing the missing components. Does anybody know of this model and where I can obtain the missing parts?
thanks.in advance

Hello Aussie, Welcome to the forum!

Have you tried Numric Arms yet?

http://www.e-gunparts.com/dept.asp#TheAs

If you don't see what you need listed under the manufacturer's name send Numric an email to see what they have.

Good luck!

Default Re: Help for an Aussie

Before you spend another nickle, have a local LEO run the gun, against burglary reports, and be sure it is not stolen.
I store my rifles without bolts, and the bolts in a seperate safe, to discourage theft, as they cannot be shot; many others do likewise, here.
Almost every such rifle I have ever been offered had such 'provenance' problems, and I have saved a ton of money, by asking this question, first.
I have no problem with 'burning' a burglar, when the opportunity presents, and have made several new friends in the shooting community, in the process.
Just a thought.
