Hi ya all my first post here. And as usual on 1911 forums, there is no shortage of 1911 knowledge. I just bought another Series 70 Government model and can't wait to shoot it in the morning. I think this a a great generation in the 1911 family. So I have two now and nothing else but a lever action Rossi. So I am going to shoot it and enjoy it and maybe someday. Build a wide 1911 collection which I won't have to sell off. Because it really sucks to build up from 7 1911s to one in two years to pay bills. This one is in real nice condition like 97% to 98% and I paid $525 not bad I think. I guess 50 to 70 rounds through will tell the real tale.

I was meaning no shortage of 1911 knowlege here not from me. I don't know much at all except how to fieldstrip and shoot em. I reread and wanted to clear that write error.

I fired the gun today and its good. I could'nt shoot better than 3 or 4" groups. But thats me not the gun. It failed in no way in 60 rounds.

Thanks for the update...glad you're happy with it! It's a painful thing to have to part with 'em but a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do. We all look forward to hearing about your future acquisitions.

BTW, I'm a lifetime member of the 3" to 4" group club
