Default Chicom MAK 90 ??

Good morning all! Say I have an opportunity to pick up a NIB pre-ban MAK 90 that was purchased in 1986 and left in the cosmo in the box. My brother-n-law is holding it for me and tells me it is from the Chicom. I asked him previously if it was a Chinese Norinco made in the 386 factory that are suppose to be somewhat valuable models. He advise me this morning that it is from this Chicom and it's what I'm looking for. Does anyone have an Idea of this Chicom or is that just short for the company name ? And any thoughts on this model of semi auto from the famous 386 factory. Anything will help, the gun is unfired.

Gotta love the 1911
