Hey guys, I'm looking at a deal on a Mossberg 802 Plinkster bolt action .22 rifle, but I want to know if it will reliably chamber .22 Long ammo. The main reason I want the bolt gun is to fire .22 CB Longs. I own a few .22 LR semi-auto rifles, but none of those will cycle the .22 CB Longs. Will a Mossberg 802 Plinkster reliably cycle the .22 CB Longs?
Thanks for any replies and even suggestions for another rifle choice. My 2nd choice is a Henry .22 Lever rifle that claims to handle .22 LR, Long, and Shorts... BTW, I don't want match grade accuracy in this rifle, just a reliable plinker that will chamber .22 CB Longs... ![]()

Bump... I think it probably will cycle the .22 Longs from the 10 rd. magazine, but I want to make sure. Does anyone know if this is true or not?

The CB long shouldn't be a problem in a bolt action rifle.

Thanks Shooter, I thought as much... The CB Longs will actually feed in my Ruger 10/22 if the bolt is cycled manually, so I assumed/hoped a bolt action should feed as well.
