I have placed my last order with Midway USA!!!! I placed an order Thursday morning and another yesterday. The one on Thurs. was shown to have been shipped on that day for usps priority mail which would be here today. The other is to be shipped today ups. Here is the deal, they tell me this morning that the first did not ship like it said on Thurs. at 12:11pm, but will leave this morning and the other one will also leave this morning. When asked the first person and her superv. said one thing and then said they would ship it ups today so I would get it faster. Then when I talk to the superv. he says it was someone else not him and why would they ship another order. He also said first it was placed on the truck Thursday and shipped late because of the holiday, then he told me that it did leave on Thursday. Nobody is telling the same story. This sucks and I am out shipping cost and sitting here for a few days without the stuff. This really gets me because I was in Little Rock which is 100 miles away at Gander mtn. on Saturday and could have bought it then. HOT? Why no I am not hot. LOL Just had to vent. I figure I am not the first or the last to get the shaft by big business.

Gene,
Been using Midway USA for some parts of my reloading hobby for several years, now. I hate that you've had a bad experience with them, because they've always performed Okay with any business I've tossed their way. (I've tried to avoid ordering at or near holidays, though - - I worked in a shipping department during college, and holidays cause havoc!) Only 'situation' with Midway involved two interior cartons of .44 bullets that burst, spilling their contents into the main shipping carton. Not too cool! Add the fact that the bullets were two different weights added to my displeasure. One phone call to customer service sent a new (better packed) order to my door, and a UPS call tag, for an at-home pick-up. Yes, it was an aggravition, but in my book, they 'made good' on the problem. |

My Midway package was sitting in the local UPS facility since Thursday night. No delivery on Friday due to the holiday. Too bad they don't deliver on weekends.
I'll be getting it today though. Midway has always been up front and decent with me. Especially returns. The only beef that I have with them is the out of stock in date, which usually isn't accurate. |

One of the biggies was that I got conflicting stories as to when they were shipped and one said they would ship ups another order and the other guy said no they would not. This after asking for a superv. and not being given one. I was on hold for about five minutes the first time and about two the second time on the same phone call. The second time I asked for a superv. I was not nearly as my usaual chearful self. LOL

I've used Midway for years and not had a problem with them. But like said above, I try not order around holiday periods if I can help it.

I ordered from them last week and got sparklingly wonderful service as always. Sorry to hear that you had a bad experience, but I sure wouldn't describe your story as "getting the shaft."
If that's as bad as you've had it, you're doing well, amigo. |

I try to do everything through Midway. Have had great service, good products and never a problem. But, I know even the best companies can have off moments. Sorry for your experience.
