To: USFinfo@aol.com Subject: ALERT: GA PACIFIC puts toilet paper before the lives of hard working men & women Date: Jul 14, 2008 11:55 AM GA PACIFIC puts toilet paper before the lives of hard working men & women Below is a Georgia Pacific Palatka Mill, Palatka, Florida, internal memo to employees claiming the Mill is exempt from the new law that protects the right to have a firearm in your vehicle in a parking lot. What makes Georgia Pacific's Palatka Mill claim of exemption from the parking lot bill -- due to "Homeland Security" issues -- so ludicrous is what they do -- they cut down trees and make toilet paper. The rights of over 1,000 hardworking men and women are being violated over toilet paper. Georgia Pacific bulletin posted on Tuesday, July 1 claims exemption: On July 1, 2008, a Florida law is scheduled to go into effect permitting legally owned weapons to be kept in privately owned, locked vehicles in the parking lots of both public and private employers. Please be aware that Georgia-Pacific’s Palatka Operations will be exempt from the new law as we are subject to MARSEC regulations (Fla. Stat. Section 790.251(7)(g)) and must comply with the Department of Homeland Security’s approved Facility Security Plan for the mill that prohibits weapons from Georgia-Pacific Palatka Operations’ property (33 C.F.R. Parts 101-106). Weapons covered by our policy include firearms of any type; bow and arrows, cross bows, and knifes or cutting instruments that are not used as part of your job function at Georgia-Pacific. Small pocket knives are permissible. Company property includes any and all land and vehicles owned by Georgia-Pacific; this includes the parking lots. Georgia-Pacific has always been dedicated to ensuring our employees, customers and visitors are provided the safest work environment possible. For more information on our company policy on Workplace Nonviolence and Weapons, please see page 18 of Georgia-Pacific’s Code of Conduct. If you have any questions concerning this policy, please contact the Human Resources Department. Thanks for all you do. Please continue to work safely.

I always carry a gun with me to the bathroom. Toilet paper is some really dangerous stuff. We keep our extra locked up in a separate building about 100 feet from the main house, a very secure building, with guard dogs, mean ones.

I'm switching brands...their product isn't even worthy of being smeared with poop.

I don't know how many of you have ever seen a roll of toilet paper in the attack mode, but it's something that will stay with you forever. I still sleep with a night light.
