On the stock of my k98, there is a hole going all the way thru the stock with some sort of metal caps surrounding the hole on each side of the stock. What is this for? Also where can I get a sling for my k98? (I also put a post with more k98 questions up on the ' technical questions' forum, if you have time, check it out and see if you can answer any of those)
Thanks
-->

Thats for disassembly re-assembly of the firing pin and cocking piece.
After removal from the bolt body, insert the end of the firing pin into the hole. Pull down on the bolt shroud until the cocking piece can be turned 45 degrees and lifted off. |
