Cool Belgium Browning

Recently received, via a gift, a Belgium made Browning, s/n 4073, stamped in several places with WaA140 also stamped in the metal is the German insignia eagle perched over a swastika. The weapon is in rare condition, very clean, no rust or scratches, the wooden grips are still very much in great shape. It appears to not have been handled very much. Does anyone have a clue as to what I've got, and when it was made?

Default Re: Belgium Browning

It would have been made soon after the occupation of the factory by the Germans, After they used up stock parts they went to serial numbers with a little 'a' then 'b' after the number.

Two questions, does it have a fixed or adjustable tangent rear sight? and is the magazine disconnector in place, i.e. will the hammer drop with the magazine out of the gun.

This will help with ID. Photos help even more.
